EG 40 PREMIUM GREY
is a Factory Made Multipurpose, high polymer modified powder oering vast utility including applications for floor & wall in interior & exterior areas for the Installations of all types of ceramic tile. vitreous. semi-vitreous tile, mosaic tiles and stones over concrete and on a variety of substrates. It has good underwater shear bond that allows this product to be used for wet areas like swimming pools, water bodies and washrooms.
Areas of Application
This adhesive is ideal for tiles with 300mm x 300mm) tiles. It's suitable for vertical and horizontal application, indoors and outdoors, in both dry and wet areas
Preparation
The floor which is to be tiled should be pre- cleaned to remove all traces of any coating, oil, dust, grease or other such contaminants
Method of Application
- The substrate to be tiled must be hard PCC substrate without undulations & levelling.
- The surface to be tiled should be sound and thoroughly cleaned. Surface should be free from wax, grease, polish etc.
- Add 3 to 3.5 parts of powder to 1 part of water
- Mix with a trowel or slow speed drills (50 - 100 rpm) until a lump free homogeneous paste is obtained.
- Leave mixture for 5 min. before using
- Spread the adhesive to a thickness of approx. 3-6 mm and comb with a notched trowel.
- The prepared paste is to be applied in vertical form on damped tile and in horizontal form on the surface or vice-versa. Using the notched trowel as these create a texture with more grip
- Strictly apply the adhesive paste which can be tiled within 10 to 15 minutes
- Intermittently touch the adhesive paste on substrate by finger. If the adhesive sticks to fingers then continue tiling and if not scrape o the adhesive and apply new coat
- Start placing the tiles on the surface to be tiled. Tap the tiles properly to ensure complete coverage of the backside of tiles and to eliminate the possibility of any air voids.
- Fixing of large format tiles requires skilled or trained worker only

Pot Life & Coverage
EG 40 Adhesive mixed with water can be used within one
